Mega Axe

Recently, I completed a ZBrush course where one of the assignments was to sculpt an axe. For the project, I chose a concept art piece by the talented Baldi Konijn, originally created for Darksiders.
Later on, I decided to take the work further and turn it into a fully finished game-ready model. I worked on this project in my free time, using it as an opportunity to experiment with combining handpaint and PBR techniques.
Model: ~20k tris
Textures: single 2048 set
It became a valuable experience of balancing the creative side with the technical aspects of the pipeline — an approach that can be applied directly to real game projects.
